About Me

Born in Montreal, Quebec, with a double kidney on the left side, the small part of that double kidney being attached to a secondary urethra connected to the vagina. This was creating a slow leak of urine, since birth , which made everybody dumbfounded , when I was growing up. On the right side, I have  a normal kidney connected to a normal urethra, which I was controlling like anybody else.  Dr. Morehouse, a urologist  who is still working at the Royal Victoria Hospital operated me at the age of 13 years old and removed the extra kidney on the left side, which resolved the leaking of urine.  Then at the age of 35 , I discovered a had a double uterus after a miscarriage. Nobody knew exactly if I could have a baby. Tests were done, 17 years ago, they were unable to "canulate" the left side uterus.  I consulted Dr. Togas Tulandi, who handed me a sheet where 12 examples of double uterus were illustrated. He told me I could very well have a child, but I should expect to have a cesearian and risk a premature childbith. I took a chance, and got pregnant in the right side. Got referred to Dr Alice Benjamin, specialized in high risk pregnancy. I bled for the first four months, thinking everytime that I was having a miscarriage when the cramps would start. The ultrasound would show that my baby was still ok everytime. Dr Benjamin had put me on estrogene suppository to keep the baby in.  It worked. Later , during the 5th month I had to stop working and ordered to bedrest. One evening, I lost it and went to the restaurant. The morning after, I had my baby at 35 weeks, vaginally.  My daughter will turn 15 years old soon. as I am getting into menopause. Since her birth, my menstrual cramps were very painful , every other month. My personnal theory is that I am emptying one side at a time.

Recently, however, I have developped a mass, which is located on the left horn of the uterus. Now my theory is, that the left side simply does not empty itself.

Is it a fibroid, a tumor or my left side acting up ? I am getting into my next medical pursuit.

About Me

I am 26 years old. I have no children. I recently had a D&C done :( It made me and my husband feel awful. I am currently deployed in Iraq with my husband. I have been in the Army for almost 6 years. We are hoping to have a child within the next few years. While I had my D&C, they discovered that I had 2 of everything. So I am hoping to get more help on this and get it figured out and see if I need to get this fixed somehow, or if everything is fine. I just want to have a baby one day and hope this won't prevent that. I am so glad I found this website for help. Thank you all so much:)

About Me

Hi Girls :)

I come from Switzerland and was diognosed with Uterus Didelphys when I was 14. I had a septum that closed both my servixes - so when I got my first menstruation the blood could not escape my body...that hurt pretty much because it went into my abdominal cavity...but after an operation everything is well!

I'm a student of German and English langage and literature and I'm a passionate artist :)

About Me

My name is Rebekah, I have two little boys born sixteen months apart. My first son was a footling breech born at 35 weeks by cesarean where I was told I had a heart shaped uterus. My second was conceived as a huge suprise to us and I carried to term and delivered him at 39 weeks and 10lbs. At this time I was told that my uterus was window thin and very mishapen and never should have been allowed to carry so long with such a large baby..I recently had an MRI to decide how severe my uterun abnormality is and this is when I was told I have two seperate uterus. We are hoping to conceive a third baby soon but feel very alone with this condition. I am so thankful and happy to have found a community dealing with a similar, rare situation.
