I was diagnosed with U/D about 6 years ago during a pap test, I was quite shocked and had never heard about this confition (other than a girl who had it on Grey's Anatomy haha) so it took a little while to come to terms with it. Since it's never affected my daily life I find I don't even think about it very often anymore.
I have a very good doctor who has had patients with this condition before, she sent me for an MRI, ultrasound and to a specialist in another city for a second opinion. They agree that there is no need for surgery.
I delivered my first baby, Noah Michael, on March 5th, 2010 after a very successful pregnancy. I made it to 37 weeks and 6 days and Noah weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. when he was born. He is the light of our lives! I am so fortunate to have had such a successful pregnancy and delivery.
I delivered my second baby, Alexandria Jane, on August 25th, 2012 at 34 weeks and 2 days. She was 6 weeks premature but is going wonderfully! She was in the NICU for 12 days and then came home to us and has been doing great ever since. Alexandria was breech so I had a csection after naturally delivering my son. Alexandria weighed 5 lbs. 5 oz. when she was born.
I am VERY excited to find this group and hope to be able to talk to other people who have experienced pregnancy with this condition. It's great to know you're not alone! If anyone out there has any questions, don't hesitate to ask!!
